UK based manufacturer Waste Spectrum Environmental are awarded top accolade as Exporter of the Year by Hereford & Worcester Chamber of Commerce.
The Award for Exporter of the Year reinforces Waste Spectrum’s position as a global exporter of UK designed, engineered and manufactured incineration and thermal treatment solutions.
Waste Spectrum are currently exporting to 70 countries covering all 7 continents. They were the first UK Company to achieve UK DEFRA ‘type-approval’ for Animal-By-Product incinerators, having been instrumental in the development and interpretation of the legislation within the EU.
The company has one of the largest ranges on the market which includes animal municipal and medical waste incinerators with over 85% of production going overseas. In the past 12 months the Waste Spectrum team has flown over 250,000 miles, visited 23 countries, hosted numerous delegations from many of those countries.
Neil Rossiter Managing Director said after receiving the award “We are delighted to have our hard work around the globe recognised and this Award for Export underpins and acknowledges that effort. Many flights, meetings and presentations have led to a strong export order book and with our excellent technical team we continue to trump technical challenges with innovative thinking and strong new product development”.
Worcester MP Robin Walker took some time to join MD Neil Rossiter in the celebrations and commented “It’s truly wonderful to see innovation in manufacturing reaching out across the global market and bringing investment into this country. I congratulate Neil and his team and wish them continued success.
A global network of distributors, UK-trained in the Waste Spectrum product range, target ‘local’ overseas businesses. The UK based sales team targets government departments, environmental agencies, ministries and large producers and acts in a consultative capacity, listening to the market and advising on new product development based on issues and problems identified in the field.
The experience within the business positions Waste Spectrum as experts, not just interested in a sale, but in developing relationships and best practise sharing across borders and across waste stream types.
An approach to customer service and engineering excellence has positioned Waste Spectrum as an authority and a trusted partner. International trade events and visible marketing of the brand and the business capabilities has created wide brand recognition and acceptance, helping the engagement with distributors, customers and government bodies.
